MY MOTIVATION
This will be my fourth time running Run For A Reason at the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon 2026, and each year the cause becomes even more meaningful to me.
As a breast radiologist, I care for patients with cancer every single day. While many are treated successfully, some eventually require palliative care. In those moments, dignity, comfort, and compassionate support matter just as much as treatment. This is where Hospis Malaysia plays an essential role.
Hospis Malaysia provides invaluable palliative care services to patients and families navigating some of life’s most difficult journeys. Their work depends heavily on public funding and community support. By running and fundraising, I hope to contribute in a small but meaningful way to ensure they can continue supporting cancer patients who need them most.
Every step I take in this run is for them.
