RULES & REGULATIONS OF THE KUALA LUMPUR STANDARD CHARTERED MARATHON 2024


  1. The Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (“KLSCM”) 2024 (the “Event”, “KLSCM 2024” or “KLSCM2024”) is organised by Dirigo Events Sdn Bhd (the “Organiser”) with the full support of Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (“DBKL”) and the Malaysia Athletics Federation (“MAF”) in accordance with these Rules and Regulations, and all the terms and conditions and other relevant rules and regulations, applicable to the participants of the Event (“Participants”), which can be found at www.kl-marathon.com (the “Official Website”).
  2. By signing up for and providing any information, personal or otherwise, in order to gain access to any product(s) and/or service(s) and/or participate in any programme(s), event(s), talk(s), demonstration(s), and/or any other activities involving the Organiser and/or the Event sponsors (the “Sponsors”), the Participant is deemed to have given explicit permission for the Organiser and the Sponsors to collect, analyse, collate, share, disclose to third parties, sell and/or otherwise use without any liability to the Participant, any personal information relating to that Participant as may in its sole discretion deem fit, including without any limitation for its programmes, planning, data-processing and statistical or risk-analysis, research, fund-raising and/or any other purposes in furtherance of the functions. The Organiser and the Sponsors declare by virtue of being the Event owner or sponsor, they can use services of third parties:
    1. For storing data within and outside of Malaysia, whichever one is deemed most reasonable by Organiser; 
    2. For development or implementation of programmes, products or services as it may deem necessary;
    3. For outsourcing of any programme(s), event(s), talk(s), demonstration(s), and/or any activities;
    4. For promotional, marketing and/or administrative purposes;
    5. For all purposes as required by law, including without limitation court proceedings, criminal investigations or prosecutions or where so ordered by any competent authority;
    6. In connection with any proposed novation, assignment, transfer, sale, lease, license, partnership, joint-organising and/or any collaboration where and when required in relation thereto.
  3. Completion of the official entry form confirms the Participant’s agreement to abide by these Rules and Regulations and the Privacy Policy.
  4. The Organiser reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these Rules and Regulations and the Privacy Policy from time to time as they deem fit. If there is ambiguity in any of the provisions, the Organiser shall be the authority to interpret and in doing so, the Organiser will take into account the interests of all the affected Participants. It is the responsibility of the affected Participant to keep abreast with any changes. Please check back the Official Website regularly for updated Rules and Regulations and the Privacy Policy.
  5. Registration for the race is only confirmed upon payment made and/or upon issuance of a race identification number.
  6. Registration fees will be charged in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) for Malaysian residents and in US Dollar (USD) for other residents. Malaysian residents shall include Malaysian citizens residing in Malaysia, Malaysia permanent residents and expatriates who hold a legal pass/permit residing in Malaysia; Malaysian citizens living abroad are excluded. Refer to the Official Website for further details about KLSCM 2024 registration fees.
  7. In consideration of the Participants use of the Official Website, the Participants agree to:
    1. Provide true, accurate, current and complete information contained in any registration form (such information being the “Registration Data”);
    2. Maintain the security of the Participant’s password and identification; and
    3. Maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. The Organiser may contact the Participants from time to time by email and/or mobile device. Any notice sent to the email address and mobile device registered with the Organiser shall be deemed as received by the Participants. If the Participants provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or the Organiser has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, the Organiser may suspend or terminate the Participant's registration and refuse Participants any and all future use of the Official Website (or any parts thereof).
  8. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event at any time without prior notice to the Participants, in which case the Organiser will make effort to inform the Participants prior to the date of the Event. If the Event has to be cancelled or postponed, there shall be no refund of fees or donations paid unless the Organiser deems fit to give a refund. The Organiser, Sponsors and Affiliates (defined below) shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused. The “Affiliates” shall include the Event co-organisers, co-sponsors, partners, volunteers, and any entity or person that provided products or services for the Event and Event activities. 
  9. There will be strictly no refund available if the Event is cancelled for reason of force majeure i.e., due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the Organiser or acts of God which renders it impossible or unsafe to hold the Event.
  10. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Event format and/or race routes as the Organiser deems fit for the safety of the Participants and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the Event, at any time. In such cases, every effort will be made to inform the Participants prior to the date of the Event. The Organiser, Sponsors and Affiliates shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused due to such changes.
  11. While every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the safety of Participants, the Participants take part solely at their own risk and the Organiser, Sponsors and Affiliates will not be responsible or held liable for any injury, damage, contraction of communicable disease, death or other loss howsoever arising from training for, before, during, or after participation in KLSCM 2024. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the race day. Participants must accept and understand that he/she must have the physical fitness suitable for the category that he/she registered for, by the day of the race.
  12. The form on the reverse side of the Participant’s running bib must be fully and accurately completed. Participants must wear the assigned running bib on the front of his/her running shirt, not the side or on the back. The running bib must be visible on his/her chest at all times. No Participants shall be allowed to start the run nor take part in Event without displaying the appropriate running bib and/or identification.
  13. If the Participant's original running bib cannot be found by the respective staff during Race Entry Pack Collection (“REPC”) or during the packing of the Race Entry Pack for delivery, the Organiser reserves the right to replace it with a spare running bib. The Organiser reserves the right to amend or substitute any Participant’s running bib at any time without prior notice to the Participant.
  14. Participants in the Full Marathon and Half Marathon may be required to start from different Start Pens (defined below) based on their estimated time of completion. Participants are to assemble in their respective Start Pens which are reflected on their running bib or start wristband. “Start Pens” are designated start areas designed to facilitate a more efficient and convenient race start, and more optimal race day experience for all Participants. The Organiser has the right to change the Start Pens of the Participants, where deemed necessary, without prior notice to the Participants.
  15. The Event’s Full Marathon and Half Marathon routes have been measured to the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (“AIMS”) standards. The length of the race routes has been established by an accredited World Athletics-AIMS course measurer.
  16. The cut-off time for Full Marathon is seven (7) hours and fifteen (15) minutes from the flag-off. Road closures on the Full Marathon route will be lifted after seven (7) hours and fifteen (15) minutes from commencement of the race. Cut-off times will be set at specific checkpoints along the Full Marathon route to ensure the safety of Participants who are unable to complete the race within the seven (7) hours and fifteen (15) minutes and to ensure that the roads can be re-opened to the public in accordance with the Event permit. These are all based off the gun time i.e., the time when the starting gun is fired.
    1. There are five (5) checkpoints along the Full Marathon route with specific cut-off times which are strictly enforced.
      1. KM20: Cut-off time 7:25 am
      2. KM25: Cut-off time 8:15 am
      3. KM35: Cut-off time 10:00 am
      4. KM40.8: Cut-off time 10:35 am
      5. KM42: Cut-off time 10:45 am (the gate will be closed once the 7:15 pacers have crossed this point)
    2. If the Full Marathon Participants do not reach each checkpoint within the stipulated cut-off time, he/she will be disqualified and may be required to board the sweeper bus and will be taken to a location nearby Dataran Merdeka. All busses will have a KLSCM 2024 Vehicle Access sticker on the windshield.
    3. There is one (1) checkpoint on the Full Marathon route, i.e., at KM35, where Participants will be given one KLSCM 2024 checkpoint wristband by respective officials or staff. It is the Participant’s responsibility to ensure that he/she receives this wristband and wear it on his/her wrist until he/she has collected his/her Finisher Medal and Finisher T-shirt on race day. Full Marathon Participants who do not have this wristband, or do not reach each checkpoint within the stipulated cut-off time, or do not finish within the stipulated cut-off time, will not be allowed to collect neither the Finisher Medal nor Finisher T-shirt.
  17. The cut-off time for Half Marathon is four (4) hours from the flag-off. There is one (1) checkpoint on the Half Marathon route, i.e., at KM15: Cut-off time 8:15 am. Participants must reach the checkpoint and finish the Half Marathon distance within the stipulated cut-off times in order to be allowed to collect the Finisher Medal.
  18. A Participant must retire from the race immediately, if required to do so by any member of the medical staff, security officers, officials, route marshals, and/or race director.
  19. Pets, bicycles, in-line skates, prams, strollers, push carts, shoes with built-in or attached rollers and any other wheel-run objects are not allowed on the race route. The only exception to this rule is for the 5km Fun Run category, where prams, strollers, and wheelchairs are allowed.
  20. Once registration has been duly processed, there will be strictly no refunds after payment is made, for any reason whatsoever. There will be strictly no refunds for Participants who do not eventually take part in the Event for whatever reason. The only exception on this rule is for the Participants who purchased the SuperCover insurance (subject to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy). 
  21. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of Participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Event including any programme(s), event(s), talk(s), demonstration(s), or any other activities associated before, during or after KLSCM 2024, for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising, publicity purpose and distribution to Sponsors anywhere in the world.
  22. The Organiser reserves the right to limit and/or refuse entry to the Event and/or other programme(s), event(s), talk(s), demonstration(s), or any other activities involving the Organiser and the Sponsors without giving any reason and/or notice.
  23. The Organiser will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form.
  24. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel and/or add any race category without prior notice to the Participants.
  25. Only one (1) entry/ category/ registration is allowed for each Participant. Change of category is not allowed once registration has been completed.
  26. Participants are strictly prohibited from swapping, transferring or offering to sell, swap or transfer his/her race entry or allowing any other person to wear his/her running bib, except through the official registration transfer platform (the “Marketplace”) provided by the Organiser.
  27. Registration transfers are only available for confirmed Participants in the Individual category and are meant for Participants who are either indisposed or unwilling to participate on race day. Participants in these categories are not allowed to transfer their race entries through the Marketplace:
    1. Run For A Reason (RFAR)
    2. Corporate Challenge
    3. Standard Chartered Bank Staff
    4. Sponsored Entries
    5. Other registrations using PIN codes

The Rules and Regulations of the Marketplace will be available on the Official Website.

  1. Any Participant who commences to run before the actual flag-off of his/her registered race category will be immediately disqualified. The start time for the respective race categories can be found on the Official Website.
  2. Participants who do not start within 20 minutes of respective flag-offs (Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10km), for safety reasons may not be allowed to start and will be immediately disqualified.
  3. There are six (6) distance categories as follows:
    1. Full Marathon (42.195km) - Participants must be 18 years old or older on Sunday 6 October 2024 to participate in the Full Marathon (category.
    2. Half Marathon (21.1km) - Participants must be 16 years old or older on Sunday 6 October 2024 to participate in the Half Marathon category.
    3. 10km - Participants must be 15 years old or older on Saturday 5 October 2024 to participate in the 10km category.
    4. 5km - Participants must be 13 years old or older on Saturday 5 October 2024 to participate in the 5km category.
    5. 2km Kids Dash - Participants must be between 10 to below 13 years old on Saturday 5 October 2024 to participate in the 2km Kids Dash category.
    6. 1km Kids Dash - Participants must be between 6 to below 10 years old on Saturday 5 October 2024 to participate in the 1km Kids Dash category.
  4. Participants below the age of 18 are required to obtain parental/guardian consent and complete the relevant indemnity declaration form as deemed necessary by the Organiser upon registration, failing which, the Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to that Participant.
  5. A Participant is considered a veteran if his/her 40th birthday falls on or before race day and will be automatically assigned to the Veteran category (for Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km and 5km). If a veteran wishes to participate in the Open category, he/she needs to select ‘Open’ during registration process.
  6. A Participant in the Malaysian category and Malaysian Veteran category (for Full Marathon and Half Marathon only) must be a Malaysian citizen who holds a valid Malaysian Passport and/or Malaysian Identity Card to be eligible to participate in these categories. The Malaysian category is open to Malaysians aged 16 years old and above, while the Malaysian Veteran category is open to Malaysians aged 40 and above.
  7. A Malaysian Participant aged below 40 years old will be automatically assigned to the Malaysian category (for Full Marathon and Half Marathon only). If he/she wishes to participate in the Open category, he/she needs to select ‘Open’ during registration process.
  8. A Malaysian Participant aged 40 years old and above will be automatically assigned to the Malaysian Veteran category (for Full Marathon and Half Marathon only). If he/she wishes to participate in the Open category, he/she needs to select ‘Open’; and if he/she wishes to participate in the Malaysian Category, he/she needs to select 'Malaysian' during registration process.
  9. A Participant aged between 13 to 18 years old will be automatically assigned to the Youngster category (for 5km only),
  10. The Organiser will not be responsible for any loss and/or damage, personal or otherwise, to the belongings and items deposited at the Event baggage storage provided for the Participants. The Organiser also reserves the right to check any item or bag deposited for security purposes.
  11. A Race Entry Pack is the Event’s pack which includes the running bib, timing chip (attached to the running bib), and other sponsored items (if any). Malaysian Residents (except Corporate Challenge, Standard Chartered Bank Staff, Sponsored Entries and other registrations using PIN codes) can choose upon registration whether or not he/she prefers to opt for courier delivery service for his/her Race Entry Pack (“Mailing Option”). Mailing Option will be available for purchase for a limited period of time.  
    1. The Race Entry Pack will be couriered to the mailing address provided in the registration form latest 3 days prior to the Event.
    2. Each Race Entry Pack is chargeable at RM30 per pack for Peninsular Malaysia and RM35 per pack for East Malaysia.
    3. The Organiser is not responsible for any undelivered Race Entry Packs due to incorrect or incomplete mailing information. For example, the mailing address, the name of the recipient, telephone number, and email address.
    4. The Organiser is not responsible for any undelivered Race Entry Packs due to unavailability of the recipient at the delivery address.
    5. Undelivered Race Entry Packs will be returned to the Organiser and it is the responsibility of the Participants to collect his/her Race Entry Pack at the REPC venue during the collection period (“Collection Period”), of which details will be stated on the Official Website.
    6. No refund will be provided for undelivered Race Entry Packs, for any reason whatsoever.
    7. Should the Participants choose to transfer his/her race entries through the Marketplace, the Race Entry Packs will still be couriered to the mailing address specified in the original Participants’ registrations.
  12. Participants who do not elect to purchase the Mailing Option and Participants who are not eligible to purchase the Mailing Option must collect his/her Race Entry Pack at the REPC venue during the Collection Period, of which details will be stated on the Official Website. Participants are not allowed to add Mailing Option after his/her registration has been submitted.
  13. All Race Entry Packs not collected during Collection Period will be deemed to be unwanted, and the Organiser shall be at liberty to dispose or re-distribute them accordingly. Race Entry Packs cannot be collected on race day.
  14. The “Gun Time” will be used to determine the winners for each of the following categories:
    1. Men’s Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10km Speed (Open category)
    2. Women’s Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10km Speed (Open category)
    3. Men’s Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10km Speed (Veteran category)
    4. Women’s Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10km Speed (Veteran category)
    5. Men’s Full Marathon and Half Marathon (Malaysian category)
    6. Women’s Full Marathon and Half Marathon (Malaysian category)
    7. Men’s Full Marathon and Half Marathon (Malaysian Veteran category)
    8. Women’s Full Marathon and Half Marathon (Malaysian Veteran category)
    9. 2km Kids Dash Speed and 1km Kids Dash Speed (Boys category)
    10. 2km Kids Dash Speed and 1km Kids Dash Speed (Girls category)
  15. There are 3 different Start Pens in the 10km category:
    1. 10km Speed – Start Pen 1
    2. 10km Cruise – Start Pen 2
    3. 10km Leisure – Start Pen 3
  16. With the exception of the Corporate Challenge Participants, only High Performance Participants of the 10km Speed are eligible for prize money and winner’s medals.
  17. The “Net Time” will be used to get an overall ranking in all categories.
  18. Participants must complete their respective run categories (which they registered for) within the following cut-off times (these are all based off the gun time i.e., the time when the starting gun is fired); otherwise, they will be deemed disqualified or did not finish.
    1. Full Marathon: Seven (7) hours and fifteen (15) minutes
    2. Half Marathon: Four (4) hours
    3. 10km Speed: One (1) hour and fifteen (15) minutes
    4. 10km Cruise: One (1) hour and thirty (30) minutes
    5. 10km Leisure: Two (2) hours
    6. 5km Fun Run: One (1) hour and thirty (30) minutes
    7. 2km Kids Dash: Forty (40) minutes
    8. 1km Kids Dash: Thirty (30) minutes
  19. In addition to the above-mentioned cut-off time for Full Marathon, the Participants in the Full Marathon must reach each checkpoint along the Full Marathon route within the stipulated cut-off times (gun times); otherwise, they will be deemed disqualified or did not finish.
  20. General rules for Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 5km, and Kids Dash:
    1. By registering for the Event, the Participant agrees that the Organiser might post the full race results on the Official Website after the Event. Each Participant is allowed to win only one prize (where applicable) in the category that he/she has registered for.
    2. Only High Performance Participants are eligible for the prize money.
    3. Winners or potential winners who do not use his/her assigned running bib will be disqualified.
    4. The Organiser reserves the right to replace any winners if he/she is found to be disqualified.
    5. All winners must report to the person in charge at the prize giving tent as stipulated on their winner's tag. In case a winner fails to do so, the Organiser may donate the cash prize money to charity.
    6. All winners must present their original identification document (either Passport or Identity Card) for verification purposes.
    7. Prize money will be submitted to the winners through bank transfer within 30 to 60 days or after the Organiser has received the doping test results.
    8. For winners or potential winners, disputes and appeals must be made within 30 minutes of the published results on the results notice board on-site or immediately after the prize presentation, whichever is earlier, failing which the Organiser reserves the right not to entertain any disputes or appeals thereafter.
    9. For all other Participants, disputes and appeals regarding the results must be submitted in writing including electronic mail within 3 days after the Event. The Organiser reserves the right not to entertain any dispute or appeals thereafter.
    10. For all disputes, the Organiser's decision is final and no other disputes thereafter will be entertained.
    11. For all other Participants, any discrepancy in their results, must be informed to the Organiser via electronic mail within 3 days after the official results have been published on the Official Website. No requests for amendment of timing or ranking and follow-ups will be entertained thereafter.
    12. The timing chip is a single-use, disposable device attached to the back of the running bib. Participants must wear the assigned running bib correctly and visibly on his/her chest during the race. If the running bib received is in an individual transparent plastic bag packaging, Participants must ensure that the running bib is removed from the plastic bag before wearing it. It is the responsibility of the Participants to ensure that his/her running bib is not covered with a jacket, pouch bag, his/her arms, or any other object when running over the timing mats. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any Participant who does not wear his/her assigned running bib during the race.
    13. All Participants who successfully complete the race in a category he/she registered for within their respective cut-off times will be given a Finisher Medal upon presentation of their running bib (and checkpoint wristband for Full Marathon) to the respective staff. This entitlement will not apply to Participants who were unable to complete the race within their respective cut-off times, disqualified or did not finish.
    14. All Participants who complete the Full Marathon within the cut-off times (including checkpoints along the race route) shall also receive a Finisher T-shirt upon presentation of their running bib and checkpoint wristband. Sizes are subjected to availability. This entitlement will not apply to Participants who were unable to complete the race within their respective cut-off times, disqualified or did not finish.
    15. All Finisher Medals and Finisher T-shirts are to be collected upon completion of the race and no requests will be entertained thereafter.
    16. All Participants who successfully complete the race in a category he/she registered for within their respective cut-off times will be given an e-certificate. The e-certificate will be made available on the Official Website by 6 pm on 21 October 2024. This entitlement will not apply to Participants who were unable to complete the race within their respective cut-off times, disqualified or did not finish. The e-certificate will only be available until 31 December 2024. There will not be any hardcopy Finisher Certificate mailed out to the Participants.
  21. High Performance
    1. Participants in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10km Speed, who are looking to finish within the prize money standings for their distance and race category, are advised to register under High Performance in your respective category as only those registered as High Performance runners are eligible for the prize money.
    2. During registration, Participants will be given the option to apply to be a High Performance Participant.
    3. Participants who apply will be contacted to show proof that they have achieved the required qualifying time within the qualifying window period from events with a World Athletics International Measurement Certificate.
    4. Only selected participants will be allowed to race under High Performance.
    5. High Performance is limited between 20 and 50 Participants per category.
    6. Not all Participants who submit their applications will be automatically accepted nor guaranteed entry to be a High Performance Participant.
    7. All qualifying times submitted are subject to review and verification.
    8. The qualifying window period, submission window period, and qualifying times are as per stipulated on the Official Website.
  22. 5km run
    1. There are three (3) different categories for the 5km category differentiated by age groups:
      1. Youngster: Aged between 13 to 18 years old on Saturday 5 October 2024
      2. Open: Aged between 19 to 39 years old on Saturday 5 October 2024
      3. Veteran: Aged 40 years old and above on Saturday 5 October 2024
    2. There are no winners or prizes in the 5km category as it is a fun run
  23. Kids Dash
    1. There are two (2) different Start Pens in the 2km:
      1. 2km Speed – Start Pen 1
      2. 2km Fun Run – Start Pen 2
    2. There are two (2) different Start Pens in the 1km:
      1. 1km Speed – Start Pen 1
      2. 1km Fun Run – Start Pen 2
    3. Registration for the Kids Dash shall be entered by the Participant’s legal parent/guardian and who must complete and submit the relevant indemnity declaration form upon registration. Failing which, the Organiser reserves the right to deny entry to any Participants.
    4. Parents/guardians are not allowed to enter the Start Pen nor accompany their children/wards during the run.
  24. Run For A Reason (RFAR) and Corporate Challenge.
    1. RFAR is the Event’s charity platform for individual participants.
      1. Participants who register for the RFAR in support of our official charity partners are bound by the specific Rules and Regulations of the RFAR programme in addition to Rules and Regulations applicable to the individual categories as stipulated on the Official Website.
      2. A Participant can choose to register in one of the four (4) distance categories, namely Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km or 5km.
      3. All participants will be ranked as individuals in their respective distance categories and all other Rules and Regulations apply.
      4. There is no registration fee to participate in the RFAR. However, Participants are required to make an initial donation of RM189 to the chosen charity organisation. This amount will be reflected as the first donation raised on the Participant’s profile page.
      5. A Participant registered for RFAR has to raise a minimum amount of RM500 (from online donations on the Official Website) within the period given to be entitled to an exclusive complimentary T-shirt from the Event’s official apparel partner. Sizes are subjected to availability.
      6. Minimum amount from online donation is RM30 per transaction.
      7. Regardless of eventual runner participation, all donations collected will be donated to the designated charity partner and no refund will be made.
      8. All Participants will be ranked as individuals in the respective distance categories and all relevant Rules and Regulations apply.
    2. Corporate Challenge is the Event's charity platform for businesses and companies
      1. Participants who register for the Corporate Challenge are bound by the specific Rules and Regulations of the Corporate Challenge programme (which can be found on the Official Website) in addition to the Rules and Regulations applicable to the individual 10km category.
      2. The company must be based in Malaysia to participate in the Corporate Challenge.
      3. Each company must register a minimum of three (3) Participants, irrespective of gender.
      4. The Participant of each team must be employees from the same company. All Participants will flag-off together with the 10km Cruise Participants.
      5. For each Participant, the required donation is RM1,000 (Total minimum donation per team is RM3,000). The entire amount will be donated to the charity partner(s) as designated.
      6. The team with the lowest aggregate “Net Time” of the first 3 finishers will be declared the winner.
      7. In case of a tie, the team with the lowest “Net Time” of the slowest runner will determine the winner.
      8. All Participants will be ranked as individuals in the overall 10km rankings. Every Participant in the Corporate Challenge will be treated as individual Participants of the 10km Cruise category and all relevant Rules and Regulations apply.
      9. The prize presentation for the Corporate Challenge winners will be held on a separate day and will be informed by the Organiser.
    3. The Organiser shall not be held liable for any activity that is not considered as legal, committed either by the official charity partner, any organisations or Participants who register and raise funds for the RFAR or Corporate Challenge programmes.
    4. All other charities or non-profit organisations must seek the approval of the Organiser to take part in any fund-raising project using the Event as a platform but not in conjunction with the Event. Please contact the Organiser for further details.
  25. Running Clinics
    1. The Running Clinics are open to all Participants of KLSCM 2024.
    2. Running Clinic Participants must be 13 years old and above to participate in the session.
    3. Participants below the age of 18 are required to obtain parental/guardian’s consent and complete the relevant indemnity declaration form as deemed necessary by the Organiser upon registration, failing which, the Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to any applicant under the age of 18.
    4. While every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the Participants’ safety, Participants run solely at their own risk and the Organiser will not be responsible or held liable for any loss, injury or death howsoever arising from participating or after participation in the clinic. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual Running Clinic Day.
    5. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of Participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the clinic including any programme(s), event(s), talk(s), demonstration(s), or any other activities associated before or after the actual Clinic Day, for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising, publicity purpose and distribution to Sponsors anywhere in the world.
    6. All other relevant terms and conditions, and rules and regulations apply.
