MY MOTIVATION
This year marks my 6th year running to fundraise for Hospis Malaysia.
I was first exposed to palliative care as a medical student, and it changed how I see medicine. Not every illness can be cured, but every patient can be cared for. When treatment options end, dignity, comfort and compassion must never end with them.
In Malaysia, many families quietly carry the burden of caring for loved ones with advanced illness. Palliative care teams step in to manage pain, provide home visits, and support families through one of life’s hardest journeys.
I run not for a medal, but for every patient who deserves peace in their final chapter, and every family who needs strength.
