MY MOTIVATION
I’m thankful to be participating in this year’s Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon under the Run For A Reason initiative in support of Hospis Malaysia.
Palliative care services are crucial for patients facing life-limiting illnesses, providing comfort, pain management, and emotional support to both patients and their families during one of the most challenging times of their lives.
Having worked in a hospital for a short period, I came to understand how important palliative care truly is — and how invaluable nurses are in this journey.
They are not just caregivers, but pillars of strength, compassion, and comfort for patients and families during their most vulnerable moments. Their dedication brings dignity, peace, and reassurance when it is needed most.
