MY MOTIVATION
As a general surgeon, I stand daily at the edge between life and death. In the operating theatre, I fight disease with a scalpel; beyond it, I believe prevention is the most powerful treatment. As a vegetarian and advocate of healthier living, I encourage my patients to move more, eat mindfully, and take ownership of their wellbeing.
Running the Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon extends this mission. It is not only about completing 42 kilometres, but about leading by example. When patients see their surgeon training and prioritising fitness, the message becomes clear: health requires discipline and consistency.
Each step represents lives I hope to protect not only through surgery, but through prevention. I run to inspire resilience, promote plant-based living, and show that true strength begins with compassion for our bodies and our community.
