MY MOTIVATION
My motivation to run and fundraise for Hospis Malaysia began during my time as a pharmacy student. I had the opportunity to organise the 3rd MyPSA Case Clerking Workshop under Malaysian Pharmaceutical Students' Association, which focused on palliative care and collaborated with Hospis Malaysia. Through this experience, I gained a deeper understanding that healthcare is not always about curing disease, but also about providing comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Now, as a Provisionally Registered Pharmacist, I see this as a meaningful opportunity to give back to an organisation that has shaped my perspective on compassionate care. Joining the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon under “Run For A Reason” allows me to turn a personal challenge into a purposeful cause.
Through this run, I hope to raise awareness about palliative care and support the vital services provided by Hospis Malaysia.
