MY MOTIVATION
I’m running the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) 2026 for the first time, and I’m proud to be part of Running For A Reason.
This year, I’ll be taking on my very first 21km half marathon while fundraising for Hospis Malaysia — an organisation that provides compassionate palliative care and support for patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses.
This cause is deeply personal to me. My sister, who was a doctor, passed away from terminal cancer. Watching her journey — both as a clinician and as a patient — showed me just how vital dignity, comfort, and compassionate care are in life’s most difficult moments. It strengthened my resolve to support the kind of care that makes a real difference when it matters most.
Running 21km will definitely be a challenge, but I’m grateful to be doing it for something far bigger than myself.
