MY MOTIVATION
I’m running the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) 2026 for the first time, and I’m proud to be part of Running For A Reason.
This year, I’ll be taking on my very first 21km half marathon while fundraising for Hospis Malaysia, an organisation that provides compassionate palliative care and support for patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses.
This cause is deeply personal to me. My sister, who was a doctor, passed away from terminal cancer. Watching her journey, both as a clinician and as a patient has showed me just how vital dignity, comfort, and compassionate care are in life’s most difficult moments. It strengthened my resolve to support the kind of care that makes a real difference when it matters most.
Running 21km will definitely be a challenge, but I’m grateful to be doing it for something far bigger than myself.
